Leish Troupe was founded in 1999 and it started researching into "Movement" theatre, a field that did not exist in Syria at the time. Thetroupe presents modern themes shown by actors who have had body training. They try to find a special way of using their bodies; a way based on a fundamental vocabulary of movement This experimental technique allows them to communicate with their partners, space, objects, rhythm and spectators .TheTroupe organizes workshops and has presented till now 3 performances, the first one won the award of Best Scenography in the “Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre”, 2000. Dima joined Leish troupe in 2003 as a composer and singer.She wrote the music for “Darkest Times” a play which is based on poems by Bertolt Brecht folowed by composing music for “Momo” audio CD, a novel by Michael Ende.
